Lighthouse is the main setting in the story.

History

Lighthouse originated not as a settlement, but as an archaelogical research site in the 1920s led by (city founder). (city founder) was a well-renowned researcher and witch with ties to the (hunting organization), an old-world hunting order.

The research site was formed around the bones of an extremely, unnatural humanoid deep within the Appalachian mountains. (city founder)'s interest grew in the specimen when he discovered that the bones held magical properties and, despite their age, seemed to still be somehow alive on a cellular level. (city founder) purchased the site and land around it and erased its existence from the map as best he could.

The seemingly neverending research that was to be done on the specimen and the isolated location resulted in the creation of Institute, a research facility staffed primarily by witches and other researchers. (city founder) served as the head.

Over the years, more and more buildings and homes were built around the research site. More people - primarily supernatural folks - were drawn in by the unnatural lure of the bones and settled down in the area.
